FLITELab* Safety:
The FLITELab* hydrofoil system comprises a mast, a main wing and stabiliser wing. These components include sharp trailing edges and wing tips. Take care not to kick or hit the sharp edges when in the water or when climbing on to the board.
The best way to avoid injury and stay clear of the foil system is to practice the correct falling technique. As soon as you begin to lose balance, purposely fall in the direction the board is already falling. You will then likely end up in the water on the opposite side to the foil assembly.
It is important to stay clear of other water uses and maintain a safe distance while using FLITElab* products.
1. FALLING ON THE FOIL CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
3. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET WHEN FOILING.
4. ENSURING SAFE WATER DEPTH IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT BEFORE RIDING. SELECT A LOCATION THAT IS HAS A MINIMUM DEPTH DEEPER THAN THE LOWEST POINT OF YOUR FOIL.
5. ALWAYS MONITOR BATTERY USAGE WHILE USING AMP PRODUCTS AND TAKE CARE NOT TO DEPLETE THE BATTERY BEFORE RETURNING TO YOUR POINT OF ORIGIN, UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY TO PADDLE BACK.
6. NEVER RIDE A FOIL FURTHER FROM SHORE THAN YOU ARE PREPARED TO SWIM/PADDLE BACK.
7. NEVER TAKE A FOIL OUT IN CONDITIONS YOU WOULD NOT SWIM IN.
IMPORTANT: TAKE EXTREME CARE TO ENSURE THAT YOU KEEP BODY PARTS (FINGERS) CLEAR OF THE AMP JET IMPELLER WHEN TESTING ON LAND AND WHEN IN THE WATER.
